We had an absolute blast working with creative studio School of Humans on our Light Strike Arena series.

Here’s a snippet from their post on the exciting adventure with Light Strike:

“Check out our awesome new animated and interactive web series, Light Strike Arena, which we created around the newly-launched Light Strike Assault Strikers by WowWee. This is a multifaceted web adventure. Since the video is interactive, viewers are able to choose the direction of the story at the end of each segment. Plus, we’ve also created an entire transmedia experience around the story, which will be launching over the next couple of weeks. So keep following the story as it unfolds on Facebook.”

Don’t forget to check out the Light Strike Arena Vault, where you’ll find Connor’s diary entries, Magnificent’s voice portal and much, much more!

Need an edge in your Light Strike battles?

You can give your team a tactical advantage by gearing up with Assault Striker attachments to increase your range, take out enemies with super ammo or grenades, and scan for enemies.

Rapid Fire System (RFS)
A powerful tool for close-quarter combat, the Rapid Fire System can mow down enemies with a burst of rapid-fire super ammo. Combine the RFS with the Scope for access to its long-range weapon styles and to switch between being a machine gunner and sniper. An RFS and Enemy Scanner combo lets you do more damage and lowers shield recharge time.

Refractor Launch System (RLS)
If another team is closing in on you, you can take out multiple enemies with one mega-blast from the Refractor Launch System. Add the Scope to fire on enemies using its long-range weapon styles or combine with the Enemy Scanner for increased damage and lower shield recharge time.

Scope
The Scope equips two exclusive long-range weapon styles (Optic Strike and Refractor Strike) and increases the Assault Striker’s range so you can take out enemies without being spotted. Perfect for the role of sniper. Combining it with the RLS or RFS gives you access to those attachments’ weapon styles and adds recoil action.

Enemy Scanner
With the Enemy Scanner, you can detect enemy movement and get them before they get you. Aside from getting the jump on opposing teams, you’ll increase damage from all five of the Assault Striker’s built-in weapon styles and lower the shield recharge time. Attach an RFS or RLS for extra firepower.

Dave from Geekanoids saved his best for last – Light Strike!

Every day he has been unwrapping a new present for his Gift Guide, so we were very grateful to be included in this exclusive group of top gifts for 2011.

Check out his unboxing video below.

If you’re looking for a cool tagging system this holiday season, we understand that it may be difficult to judge between options.

As such, when we found a fantastic rundown of both laser tag systems from Skurj – a well-known tagger – we had to share.

Here’s his conclusion:

This LTX vs Light Strike stuff is unsurprisingly just like every other subjective matter of opinion. Just like H&K vs Glock or like Honda vs Toyota. People will tend to prefer what they already have, rationalizing their purchase or their judgement or whatever. The good news is these are toys. They don’t need to protect our lives or support our livelihoods in any way. They just need to be fun, and both of these systems are super fun.

Happy tagging!

Happy Monday!

An eventful weekend is just ahead of us with US Thanksgiving, Black Friday and finally Cyber Monday.

Will you be joining the masses to get some of your holiday shopping out of the way?

Here’s a quick Light Strike review we saw over the weekend that might help your decision process.

If you happen to brave the malls this weekend, be sure to pack your elbow pads!

“I could talk about these for ages as they are all flashy lights, fabulous sound systems and the only thing we were missing to make it a fully fledged laser tag type set up was the jackets. I can see the jackets being on the Xmas list this year. The boys were over the moon to be playing with this set, and I don’t blame them. Flashing lights, pretend guns and safe targets lets them play at superheroes and cops and robbers all day.”
